East Falls Zine Reading Room

The East Falls Zine Reading Room is a Philadelphia DIY space that we’ve run since 2015. It has a large collection of zines for visitors to enjoy, and also serves as a show house. In the past we’ve featured poets, zine writers, comics artists, textile artists, full bands, video artists, and more. To receive invitations to our events, sign up for the mailing list here

Please note that our space is not wheelchair accessible, but we’re working on it. If you would like to use the zines in our collection and have other accessibility needs, please contact us and let us know. We’ll be very happy to do what we can to work out a solution.

Catalog

After participating in the zine community for many years we have amassed over 1,600 zines and artists’ books in a huge range of sizes, styles, and subject matter. The zine collection is available for use during events and by appointment. We do not lend the zines out. So far we’ve cataloged around 1,300 of the items in our collection in a great big spreadsheet, which includes (as available) the zine’s title, author, subject, up to four keywords, and more. Below is an abbreviated version of the catalog, with some information left out to protect the creators’ privacy. If you’d like to search the full catalog or use the collection, please check our calendar for an upcoming event or contact us to make an appointment.
